2020 National Football Tournament

Regional qualifying matches. Final at St George's Park, Burton on Trent

Entries in the 2020 engage in their future National Football Tournament can now be submitted.

Schools can choose to take part in one of three regional qualifying tournaments, held on –

Thursday 30th January 2020 at The William Henry Smith School, Brighouse, West Yorkshire
• Wednesday 11th March 2020 at Shenstone Lodge School, Lichfield, Staffordshire
• Wednesday 22nd April 2020 at Muntham House School, Barns Green, West Sussex

Qualifying schools will go through to the finals on Thursday 30th April 2020 at St George’s Park in Burton on Trent, Staffordshire, the FA National Football Centre and home to England’s 27 national teams.

Delegates will enjoy a comprehensive conference programme around the theme of “Connected Curriculum”, including inspiring keynote talks, practical workshops, Teach Meet and networking opportunities.

Day and residential delegate places are available.

2020 National Awards

Open for nominations until 17th April 2020

Celebrating its tenth anniversary as a national scheme this year, the engage in their future National Awards is a unique scheme that recognises and celebrates the amazing progress and achievements made by the students from the organisation’s national network of member schools.

Staff from engage in their future member schools are invited to share examples of the outstanding accomplishments of their students by nominating them for a 2020 National Award.

2020 National Creative Awards

Open for submissions until 1st May 2020

The National Creative Awards is a unique opportunity for the students and staff from the national network of engage in their future member schools to express their creativity through short story writing, photography, poetry or all three.

Our theme for 2020 is CONNECTIONS. Poets, short story writers and photographers are invited to consider what this means to them and express it, whether it’s in words or a photo.

Entries will be grouped by creative category and Key Stage group. Each of the three creative categories have their own judging panel who will be looking for originality, adherence to the theme, and creative techniques. Individuals can submit one entry per creative category and each entry must be accompanied by its own entry form. Everyone that submits an entry will receive a certificate.

eitf South/South East Conference

Muntham House School, Horsham

The engage in their future South/South East Conference 2020 will be held on Friday 1st May 2020 at Muntham House School in Horsham, West Sussex.

The conference will feature workshops from leading practitioners in SEMH special schools and provisions in England and Wales, with keynote speakers Dr. Pooky Knightsmith and David Taransaud.

Conference tickets are £60 per delegate for engage in their future members, and £180 per delegate for non-members. To book your place, please email: or visit for more information.
